At Peace Mountain Puppy, we believe exceptional dogs are not an accident—they are the result of intentional breeding, thoughtful early development, and a deep respect for the role dogs play in human lives.
While many breeders focus primarily on size or appearance, our foundation begins with temperament, stability, and purpose. Our puppies are bred and raised with therapy work in mind, producing dogs that are emotionally intuitive, calm under pressure, and deeply bonded to their people.
Purpose-Driven Breeding
Our breeding program spans multiple generations and is carefully designed to preserve the best qualities of the Golden Retriever—gentleness, intelligence, and eagerness to please—while achieving a smaller, more manageable size through selective Spaniel influence.
Each pairing is chosen intentionally, with emphasis on:
- Sound temperament and emotional balance
- Trainability and human connection
- Structural health and longevity
- Consistency across generations
This approach allows us to produce puppies that are not only beautiful, but reliable in temperament and well suited for meaningful work.
Early Development That Matters
From the first days of life, our puppies receive Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS) and are raised using the Puppy Culture program. These evidence-based practices support neurological development and help puppies grow into confident, adaptable adults.
Our puppies are introduced early to:
- Gentle handling and human interaction
- Household sounds and novel experiences
- Crate conditioning
- Early potty routines
This intentional start creates puppies that transition more smoothly into their new homes and are better prepared for therapy, service, or family life.
Therapy-Focused Foundation
Our primary focus is raising dogs with the temperament and emotional steadiness needed for therapy work. Peace Mountain puppies are selected and raised for calmness, empathy, and resilience—qualities essential for working alongside people in hospitals, schools, counseling settings, and homes.
While therapy suitability is at the heart of our program, these same qualities also make our puppies:
- Wonderful family companions
- Excellent emotional support dogs
- Strong candidates for service dog training
Thoughtful Size Options
We offer two carefully bred size ranges to meet different lifestyles and needs:
- Toy Miniature Golden Retrievers: approximately 15–30 pounds fully grown
- Medium Miniature Golden Retrievers: approximately 25–45 pounds fully grown
These sizes allow families to enjoy the temperament of a Golden Retriever in a more adaptable, everyday companion.
Raised With Intention, Not Volume
We are not a high-volume breeder. Each litter is raised in a hands-on environment where puppies receive individual attention, daily interaction, and purposeful exposure.
We believe:
- Quality matters more than quantity
- Early experiences shape lifelong behavior
- Breeders should remain a resource long after puppies go home
A Lifelong Commitment
When you bring home a Peace Mountain puppy, you are not just adopting a dog—you are joining a relationship built on transparency, education, and ongoing support.
